During the city’s textile boom, Nishiura was lined with more than 200 bars and restaurants, making it one of the largest entertainment districts in the Kanto region. While its Showa-era heyday has passed, the area remains full of character, with a vibrant mix of long-established favorites and new eateries. Today, it continues to be a beloved destination for locals and travelers exploring the Fuji Five Lakes region.
